Kenya Development Response to Displacement Impacts Project (KDRDIP)






The Government of Kenya (GOK) has received financing from the World Bank's International Development Assistance IDA towards supporting the Kenya Development Response to Displacement Impacts Project (KDRDIP) which is a five-year project. The project aims at providing priority support to the refugees' host communities of Garissa, Wajir and Turkana counties to mitigate against the impacts of protracted presence of refugees through community-driven sustainable projects. The project is being implemented by the Department of Arid and Semi-Arid Regions domiciled in the Executive Office of the President.

The Department of Arid and Semi-Arid Regions (DASAR) intended that part of this credit be utilized for eligible payments under contracts for the procurement and therefore invites sealed'bids from eligible bidders for the following contracts:

Bidders may bid for any one or more items in each tender, provided they offer the full number of units required for each item per Tender. Bidders not offering the required units for each item numbers per tender will be considered non-responsive. Bid evaluation will be done on tender basis. The delivery period will be from 4 to 6 weeks inclusive, counted from the point in time when the supplier has received an effective purchase order. This applies to item No. 2,3 and 4 above.

Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding(NCB) procedures as specified in the world bank's Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non -Consulting services under The WB procurement Regulations for IPF borrowers (July 2016 and revised in November 2017) and PPADA 2015 This Bidding is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the procurement guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs' 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be downloaded by eligible bidders from the Government tender portal; Those who are not willing to Download may purchase the documents upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KES.1000/= per bidding document in cash at cash office situated at Harambee House annex, Harambee Avenue, Ground floor, Room 008„ and then collect the Documents in Room 111 on 1st Floor, Harambee House on Harambee Avenue. For those who will be willing to download, they will be required to register the documents in Room 111.

A complete bid documents enclosed in a plain sealed envelope clearly marked with the Tender Number should be deposited in the Cabinet Affairs Office Tender box situated at the Ground floor, Harambee House Annex, Harambee Avenue, Or posted to the below mentioned address so as to be received on or before Thursday 15th March, 2018 at 1100 hours East African Time.

Bids will be publicly opened on Thursday 15th March2018 at 1100 hours. East African Time, in the presence of interested bidders' or designated representatives and anyone one who may choose to attend at Harambee House Annex, Harambee Avenue, 5th Floor, Wing "B" Boardroom,. Electronic bidding will NOT be permitted and late bids will automatically be rejected. All bids must be accompanied by a "bid security" in form of a bank guarantee or bankers' cheque of the value as indicated in the bid document in a freely convertible currency and the bid security must be valid for 30 days beyond the validity of the tender.
